I'm Nick Jenkins, and I've been helping people to find solutions for many years - even when I was a teenager, friends all used to come to me for advice. Since then, I've combined a successful career in journalism - at one time I wrote a problem page for a well-known daily newspaper - with a growing interest in therapy and helping others.

I was trained in hypnotherapy by Trevor Silvester, one of the giants of modern hypnotherapy, at his Quest Institute. There are many hypnotherapists out there - as you have probably discovered - and many hypnotherapy trainers. As with everything, some are good and some are not so good  - but you can be sure that anyone who has qualified as a cognitive hypnotherapist through the Quest Institute has been trained to the highest standard and is up-to-date with all the latest science and theories. Alongside my hypnotherapy practice, I am also an aromatherapist and massage therapist - so you could say I am your one-stop shop for both talking and physical therapies! I practise hypnotherapy and aromatherapy from my therapy room in Penge, south east London (SE20). I am a member of both the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the National Council for Hypnotherapy, so I am bound by the code of ethics of both organisations. You can find the NCH code of ethics and conduct here.

I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) - the UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. The CNHC was set up to protect the public by setting high standards for practitioners. It is sponsored by the Department of Health, which recommends that "where people are looking for complementary healthcare practitioners, they use someone who is CNHC-registered.” (Department of Health, January 2011) 

Oh, and if you are looking for letters after my name, I am Nick Jenkins BA MFHT HPD DipCHyp NLP Pract MNCH (Lic) - which really just means that you can be sure I am properly trained and qualified.
